Wrestling with Magic: Experience Trumps Theory

Magicians have a lot of theories. Some people say that you should never challenge your audience, but some people do not agree with this. One man was quoted saying that audiences contain many fools and the only way to know if something will work is to test it out on them and see how they react. It is important to pay attention to any theory that tells you to do less or know less, or even be less and be suspicious of it.
