Jack Dent, Stage Magician of the Year 2017, performs a magic trick with 2 lengths of rope on his Youtube video. After first making clear to the audience that he is holding two independent pieces of rope, Dent knots them together at one end. Next Dent grasps the knot between two fingers and slowly slides it down the rope until it separates completely leaving one long piece of rope and a bit of knot in Dent’s other hand. After tossing the balled knot portion of the rope up into the air, it disappears. A second know is tied in the rope, and again Dent separates that piece from the rope. The rope is twisted a few more times in seemingly impossible ways before Dent concludes his video by draping the rope over his neck and the video fades to a close.
